The Bed & Breakfast and Homestay Home Owners Association is a professional organization that represents the interests of bed and breakfast & Homestay owners and operators in and around Shimla. Its mission is to promote the B&B and Homestay industry, provide educational resources and support for its members, and advocate for policies that benefit the industry as a whole.

Support Local Community

We encourage our members to support local events and festivals, and to promote the area's attractions and amenities to guests

Environmental Sustainability

We encourage implementing sustainable practices. Conserve Water & Electricity , sourcing local food material and fair trade products and adopt environmentally responsible practices

Providing Safe and Inclusive Spaces

Provide safe and welcoming spaces for all guests, regardless of their race, gender identity, sexual orientation, or other factors. This can include adopting anti-discrimination policies, providing training on diversity and inclusion, and ensuring that accommodations are accessible to people with disabilities

Our goal is to build a strong community and provide high-quality and reliable assistance to everyone who is part of it.

Some of are work includes :

  1. Promote and represent the interests of bed and breakfast establishments within the industry and for the public.

  2. Provide resources and support to members such as knowledge base articles, Govt Regulations, and License acquisition process.

  3. Foster collaboration and networking opportunities amongst members.

  4. Advocate for policies and regulations that benefit the industry and protect the interests of bed and breakfast establishments.

  5. Raise awareness and educate the public about the unique benefits and experiences offered by bed and breakfast accommodations.

  6. Establish and maintain industry standards and best practices.

  7. Enhance the reputation and credibility of the bed and breakfast industry through professional development and quality assurance programs.

  8. Keep Association members aware of the updated Govt policies & rules and regulations and to work in accordance with the same.
The power of collective action and the importance of building a strong community can never be underestimated. It recognizes that when people come together to work towards a common goal, they can achieve much more than they could alone. By inviting others to join this effort, we can ensure that everyone has a role to play and that each person's unique contributions are valued. By creating a space where everyone feels supported, encouraged, and empowered, we can build a community that is stronger and more resilient. Building a community is not just about achieving a specific goal, but also about creating a sense of belonging and connection. It acknowledges that people are more likely to participate and engage when they feel that they are part of something meaningful and worthwhile. Overall, this invitation to come together and create something greater than ourselves.
